The Table For Art Playbook
The Mission
Our mission is to turn London’s empty tables into buzzing creative hubs. We connect talented local artists with independent venues to run high-quality, recurring art workshops. We are here to bring culture to local businesses, empower artists to make a living from their passion, and build a community that actually connects offline.

What TFA Brings to the Table

-
The Matchmaking: We make professional introductions between artists and the perfect venues.
-
The Guidance: We provide step-by-step support, best practices, and design templates to help you organize, promote, and run your event smoothly.
-
The Hustle: We help spread the word on our socials. While we can’t magically guarantee a sold-out room, filling those seats is our top priority.
-
The Cut: We keep it transparent. Table For Art takes a flat 20% commission from the total ticket sales (after Eventbrite fees).
-
The Future: We are a startup building for you. We take a personal approach, listening to your challenges so we can constantly build better tools to support you.
-
Upcoming premium: For power-users organizing highly frequent events who want heavy operational support, we can negotiate a custom plan).
For the Artists (The Talent)

-
Creative Freedom: You are the boss of your craft. You pitch the workshop idea to the venue and agree on the best date and time.
-
The Setup: You handle the event description, visuals, and setting up the ticketing page (you are welcome to use our proven templates to make this fast and easy).
-
The Financials: You set your own ticket price (usually £20–£50, depending on what participants are willing to pay). You cover the cost of your art supplies.
-
The Payout: You take home 60% of the ticket sales (after Eventbrite fees). This covers your time, materials, and talent.
-
The Promotion: You take the lead in marketing your event to your audience, heavily supported by TFA and the venue.
-
The Community Vibe: We highly recommend shouting out the venue during your workshop and encouraging your attendees to grab a drink or a bite to eat.
-
The Golden Rule: Respect the space, the staff, and the attendees. Always leave the workshop area in the exact same (or better) condition than you found it.
-
Growth: Ask for reviews at the end, and if it goes great, let's lock in your next dates!
For the Venues (The Hosts)

-
Zero Upfront Costs: You pay absolutely nothing to host an event.
-
The Space: To make the math work for everyone, we ask for a space that can comfortably seat a minimum of 8 participants.
-
The Payout Choice: You take 20% of the ticket sales after Eventbrite sales and you reap the rewards of the food and drink sales from the attendees).
-
The Protection: If you are worried about no-shows, you have the right to request a £30 refundable deposit from the artist, which is handed right back after the workshop.
-
The Support: We expect you to welcome the artists, respect their process, and help promote the event to your local customers.
-
Spreading the word: We will tag your venue in the promotion and re-sharing the posts would be very useful. Letting the artist put up a poster or some leaflets in your venue would be also highly appreciated!
-
The Feedback: After the event, you have the choice. You can lock in a recurring residency with the artist, or politely decline future events with constructive feedback.
